Vanilla Cupcake

Tonight I threw together this test batch for my new vanilla fragrance oil.

I used Crisco (Palmolive, soy, and cottonseed oil.)and olive oil. Thank goodness I used the Crisco, because otherwise trace would have taken forever. As it was, it took about two and a half hours. I completed this with no injury to myself or others, (A++!) and, although it kind of looks like a tub full of mucus, it'll set up to a darker brown and settle nicely after six weeks.

Production for the Christmas Season will begin in August. So far, I'll be making:

Poison Apple
Strawberry Cupcake
Apple Pie
Key Lime Pie
Milk And Honey
Chloe's Soap
Team Edward (lame)
Team Jacob (lame)
Pine
Cinnamon
Chocolate Mocha

There's others, I can't remember all of them. I've got a booth at the NOVA Holiday Crafts festival, so that's where I'll be. And also at every street festival, open air market, and other venue I can weasel in to.

I have more unprofessional looking photos! Here we go:

Hopefully, the HTML will work. :)

Yay!

I made this blog to archive and chronicle my adventures in soapmaking, but also will probably throw some bits about work, adventures, my dogs, and opinions and stuff.

So. Welcome to my blog!
