I whipped up a batch of clean rain, apple, and lime soap last night. After dumping an entire bottle of green colorant into it, it turned pink, then deep purple. I'm praying it won't turn an icky brown, but I'm guessing that's where it's headed. The lye was acting silly as well, and I fear that this batch may not be long for this world. In case it survives, it needs a name. Somehow, 'Kung Fu Lime' isn't really working now that it's purple. It also has about a pound of table sugar in it, to exfoliate. If it lives, I think it'll be a really nice, moisturizing bar, I just don't know if it's going to survive.
Pray for the purple soap.

Nana's House
I managed to find coconut oil and palm oil* for fairly cheap last night, which excited me to no end. At first, the palm oil was disgusting, red, gloppy, and smelled like burning plastic. However, it lighted to a yellowish blondeish color overnight in the soap, and now smells like Honeysuckle and Hyacinth. Overall, I am pleased with the results. I rebatched it tonight, and that seemed to work out much better this time as well.
Honeysuckle and Hyacinth scented, "Nana's House" soap will be ready to ship next week. 4 oz. bars are 5.00, and 6 oz. bars are 7.50.

108 Lihue Street
Is here! The entire batch was made on Tuesday, and it's now curing on it's shelf. It's still very soft, (lots of macadamia nut butter!) but I used a little in the shower this morning and it works great. Lots of soft bubbles. :D It's a castile soap with palmolive and cottonseed oil, with macadamia nut butter and cocoa butter. It's got an amazing lime-coconut ginger scent thing goin on. So far it hasn't discolored, but I'm giving it a couple of days. The four oz. bars are 5$, and the 5 oz. bars are 6$. It can be shipped as early as next week.
I caved today and bought a paper punch and another pad of paper to create soap tags with. The hand-cut ones looked so unprofessional. Once I get a printer, I'll be set. Things look so much more professional already. I spent hours last night punching tags. Very fun!
This week I'll be making a green, honeysuckle scented bar in honor of my other Grandmother. Hopefully it'll be green anyways.

All my soaps are vegetarian, and most ingredients and additives are locally produced, sustainable, and organic. All of my soaps contain lye- you simply do not have soap without lye. All of my batches are tested for PH balance using the tongue test and we do not sell soaps with excess lye or lye pockets. Finished soap does not contain lye, as it has undergone saponification and chemically changed, (along with the oils,) into soap.
All soap bars are 5$/bar, unless otherwise stated.

Strawberry Cupcake: An unholy union of the delicious Strawberry Feilds and Vanilla Vanilla. Coconut oil, olive oil, cocoa butter.

Lime, Coconut, and ginger fragrance. Coconut water, coconut, Cocoa butter, olive oil, palm oil, cottonseed oil, and macadamia nut butter.
Nana's House: Honeysuckle, Heather, and Hyacinth. Cocoa Butter, olive oil, palm oil, cottonseed oil, and macadamia nut butter.
Lotion:
All lotions are shea butter based, and are 6$/8 ounce bottle.
So Cheesy: Shea Butter, aloe vera, cocoa butter, honey, and cream cheese frosting scent.

Occasionally, a flavor will sell out- if that happens, it can take up to three weeks to get a new batch made and shipped out to you- however, that soap will be fresher then fresh. I can take requests, and will be more then happy to special order an ingredient or work out a new formula to suit your skin's special needs. Caring for your skin and ensuring your satisfaction is my highest priority.
Payment methods: I accept paypal, money orders, concealed cash, or personal checks. Please contact me for info.
Shipping: I ship UPS, and will make shipments on Mondays. Buyer pays shipping for orders under 50$. For spending 50$ or over on my humble soaps, the least I can do is pay for shipping.
Returns or exchanges: Because of the nature of the product and the state of my own finances, at this time I cannot issue refunds for products. I will happily exchange any product that is defective or that you are not satisfied with. I will continue until you are satisfied. If at any time there is a problem with your product, simply send in the unused portion for a replacement.

Oh, Macy's...
So today I went shoe shopping.
I'm not sure why. I have two perfectly servicable pairs of flip flops, and a pair of flats for workin in. I even have a pair of fuzzy slippers. However, I went with Mr. Pink to buy some cargo shorts and a hat*, and we were passing the shoes, and they were on sale. It started as a, "Well, I'll just see if they have them in my size**", and then, "Well, I'll just try them on, I'm sure they won't look good," to "I'll just set them aside and maybe come back in a week," to me dropping 149$$ on two pairs of four inch heels. By the way, I'm 5'11" in bare feet. There was no way I needed those shoes. But DAMN they're sexy. I now need two pretty dresses. And a manicure. And a pedicure. And a cute way to do my hair...

Test Batch Thoughts
Vanilla and cream cheese frosting CP soap-
Scents- Deepened to a choclatey, cake-y flavor. Not what I expected, but not unpleasant. The smell definitely changed from bottle to finished product. I think a lot of this was due to the fact that I didn't cover the soap or oils properly during the process.
Appearance- The soap turned a very dark brown. When I broke it open, it was still white inside. Like an almond joy. It looks like brownies more then anything before being cut. The soap itself seems both very soft and crumbly at the same time. Somewhat difficult to work with.
There dosn't seem to be any excess lye after a tongue test. I used the soap in the bathroom to wash my hands- it took some work getting it to lather, but it did eventually lather in the bath poof. The lather wasn't spectacular- I don't think vegetable oil works as a great carrier wax- but it did produce small, dense bubbles.
About half an hour after washing my hands, the skin on my palms feels somewhat tight. I'll definitely be backing up the use of this soap with an application of lotion, but I do that anyways. The skin definitely feels soft and silky on the backs of my hands. There was some 'tingle' in my hands during and immediately after the use of this soap, but that might've been because I was nervous about there being too much lye. Next time, I will make sure to add a 6-7% superfat.
I made 80$ today off of the sale of soap. My two beautiful little gift boxes are on their way to their new homes, and I'm 80 (Well, more like 20$ now!) richer. I immediately spent 60$ of it on dog food and groceries. The last 20 is mine, though. I'll perhaps spend it on a frame to frame a 1$ bill of the change from the dog food purchase, and keep it as the first dollar this crazy soap venture ever netted me.
It's been a good day.
Next batches: 108 Lihue Street and Nana's House! My supplies should arrive next Monday.
